SAY NO TO TOXIC ALGAE, PALM BEACH! STROLL DOWN CLEMATIS TO MEET THE PRESS.
July 7, 2016 @ 5:00 pm
We will be meeting at Longboards restaurant at 5pm until 6pm, before we stroll down to meet the press at Clematis By Night event in Centennial Park. We invite the citizens to Join us to UNITE against Lake Okeechobee discharges and present a permanent solution to stop the discharges and toxic algae from Lake Okeechobee. Right now the Treasure Coast, Fort Myers Beach and Palm Beach County are have received flow from Lake Okeechobee discharges, mixed with Blue Green algae. THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE has shifted from “SAVE OUR RIVER” to a permanent solution to “BUY THE LAND.” The land we wish to purchase is located South of lake Okeechobee and located in the Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA) and needs to be purchased now with the cooperation of our elected officials, the state of Florida and our Federal Government. The funds have been available to start taking action through Amendment 1. It’s time to speak out for the public and represent the WILL OF THE PEOPLE to BUY THE LAND!
